  • 12/02/06--14:52: Farewell.....! (chan 1680864)
  • We bid farewell to my mom and Christian on Friday night at Melbourne Airport. It was the longest farewell....we wouldn't stop hugging and kissing. Even though Christian wasn't fully aware what was all the commotion but he seemed sad and was very attached to me that whole day. When my mom finally walk away with Christian, he held his arms out to us and said 'no,no,no...'
The tears kept rolling down my cheeks and Jer was trying to be strong, holding on to me.
Just before the auto doors closed behind them, Christian blew kisses to us.
We didn't expect him to really understand what was happening, but when he got upset, it was very heart wrenching to see that.
When we reached home, it was 12:45AM.
Their plane must be taking off at that moment. I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillows.
    Good night, my Prince.

  • 12/02/06--15:37: The Best Week Ever...... (chan 1680864)
  • This whole week has been nothing but shopping and eating and lots of fun! Christian and mom will be leaving for KL this Friday and we really want to make it memorable before they leave.

Everyday, I took them out to a diffrent shopping mall to do some last minute shopping. There is Northland , Southland, Eastland and West Mall. Four huge shopping malls on all 4 corners outside the city. Believe it or not, we have covered it all!! The highlight was in Eastland where they had a cho cho train ride that goes around the mall. My mom took Christian on it and he had a blast! He was even given a train ticket!
During the weekend, we went to St Kilda Beach, our fave weekend spot. There is a Sunday Market along the beach. Lovely! It is so beautiful to stroll along the beach and just people watching. Oh,yes, it was my first time to see a trans -gender(??) in BIKINI TOP! Yes, he or she had boobs. I must say, though, I would have thought he-she was a woman from far, until I notice the q...

Can you see the pebbles-like ice in the pictures?
The weather here is so unpredicatable. The following day, the temp went up and it was hot and humid!

Hey, it has been awhile since I last seriously blogged! Since Christian's arrival, everything has been fast forward and I just can't believe that 3 weeks has pass since they arrived Melbourne!
Well, as you can see I've changed my settings to this cutesy amd colorful display of sweets. I'm on the roll now, so I'm geared to posting more blogs and pixs!

Just watch this space and I'll update more!

This are long overdue photos that I came across recently. Thought I misplaced it...ta dah...here it is! This was taken when we were back in KK for in DEC

Yes....its true, I had this cooking frenzy for a week!!! I cooked up a storm as you can see in the pix. Unfortunately, I was too hungry to remember to take shots of all the dishes. For a week, I attempted to cook Spanish Style Paella Rice, Carbonara Fettucini, Hainanese Chicken Rice(my cravings), Lamb Ravioli (Jerry's Fave), Chicken Dumpling soup, Orange and chocolate Chips Muffin, burritos, Fried Chicken Drumstick, lamb ribs, Chicken Kiev!!! Fortunately, for my weight and my sanity, it all ended after a week of binging and this compulsive need to cook! It is not easy to cook!!!! (Hats off to all mothers and wife!!!) I took hours to prepare one simple meal! ( I remembered we had our dinner once at after 9PM cause my hainanese chicken just wouldn't cook!) I must have cooked it forever! And what I hated the most was the washing part....don't we all hate that?! Well, now that Mom's here...I needn't worry about cooking anymore...hehehehe!

These are some pictures taken recently. Many have asked whats my cravings...I don't really have a MUST EAT cravings but I totally love Vietnamese Food especially Broken Rice!!!! Yummy.... No pictures of Vietnamese Food this time though. Recently, we came across this Cambodian Rest, they have really nice thick slurpy beef noodle soup. It's abit like our Ngau Chap but BETTER, TASTIER, YUMMIER!!!! Okla...enough already. I'm getting

The tour started mid day after a very speedy Vietnamese lunch at Swanston St. It was a 1 hour and half journey ride to Philip Island on Good Friday, so the bus was packed. We stopped at a few places, went to a koala reserve and finally reached our destination! It was cold and windy! Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures at the penguin parade site.

Has anyone watched Happy Feet yet? After witnessing our very own lovable Lttle Penguins here in Philip Island, I knew I had to watch it!!! ( Unfortunately, I missed it when it premiered in the cinemas....) Well, check out the Real Furry guys in Philip Island!!!!!!!

Imagine this, there must have been hundreds of tourist young and old alike, all cuddling with one another. We were seated next to the beach where we expected the little penguins to waddle ashore to their sand dune burrows. The sun has set and it had a eerie glow to the place with the hollowing wind and the waves crashing to the beach. Pacific gulls hovered over our heads waiting in anticipation for the little penguins.

It was 8pm when, from afar, we could see the shadows of the penguins waddling towards shore. And my, they are tiny! They were literally, marching side by side in unison. When suddenly, the seagulls came swooping towards them and they hastily waddled back to the ocean. And there was empty darkness again.

    Finally,...

It's hard to believe that my little baby sister is all grown up! We are 12 years apart yet we remain very tight and close. I still treat her like a little girl. I remembered her dimpled smile and her contagious laughter when she was a baby...you know what, that hasn't change. She's still the fun loving girl and still very much mommy's girl!
Crystal, all the best with the upcoming Miss Malaysia/ World Pageant! We love you! The family, the whole kampung, heck the whole Sabah, KL, Melbourne are rooting for you! You are a true winner in our hearts!!!!

Yup...We celebrated our 5 years anniversary on the 17 May 2007 at this quaint and cosy Greek restaurant. We had the banquet which means THE FULL ON Platter!! Breads and yummy dips.... Sakalaki (fried cheese) that was soooooooo good! Mounds of meat and seafood galore.... of course souvlaki ( bbq meat) and greek salad and calamari salad....and some greek dessert with their local coffee. It was heaven........ oh ya... it rained that day...but we caught a beautiful rainbow that made the day ...just

It has been a long long time since I last wrote. Its been so tiring and honestly I haven't been in the mood to do anything!!
Anyway, today I went to see my Obstetrician and he  is very pleased with my progress as well as baby's.Since I found out I was pregnant, I've only been scanned twice!!  And the last time I was scanned was at my 20th week ( for Down Syndrome etc) So, today, I figured I could asked him to scan me to check the weight of my baby...but he rather uses the touch of his hands to determine the weight of the baby! I don't underestimate his experience but it'll be nice to see baby on the ultrasound and to see how big she has grown.
But, nevertheless, its another week away and I rather just wait till the day comes to see her in person! Dr says that she's around 3.2 - 3.3kg now. Christian was 4.15 kg when he was born so 3.3kg would be a nice size.

Funny enough, my family is now betting to see if the second one would be over 4kg...hahah...anybody want to give  a...

We started the day with having some delicious hot Swiss Chocolate drink and a very tantalising lemon cupcake in this fancy-smancy chocolate cafe called Xocolate in Maling St, Belmont. Small boutique cafe, very antique looking... Just 2 cups and one cupcake came to $16!! Well, it was for a special occasion! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera and took a less than ok pix with my phone camera.

The night itself, we celebrated Jerry's birthday at DIPS, a Greek Restaurant. As usual, we got greedy and had the banquet. Came with bread, 5 different dips and a massive platter consisting of prawns, fish, calamari ( yum), souvlaki lamb, chicken  and  wings!
Mom baked a beautiful marble cheese cake which came out perfectly ( despite the dysfunctional oven!!!) So, enjoy the pictures and I sure am enjoying myself before the big day this Monday!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures of Carissa on her Full Moon Celebration. She was a gem...while I took these shots of her...She is wearing a cute white dress with pink satin ribbon and pink trimmings at the hems. She has the most adorable pink socks and matching pink head band! So cute....!

Some shots taken of Carissa since she was a day old. She put up almost 1 kg in 2 weeks so you can see her chubby cheeks getting
